Morgan Modern Lightweight Tartan is a vibrant blue-based tartan with shades of black and red. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
Morgan is a very common name throughout Britain and is remarkable that it is around today as it only existed in Aberdeenshire among the Sutherland MacKay’s. It comes from the early Celtic “sea-bright” and is based on the Mackenzie tartan, with red lines representing our shared Scottish blood yet divided by the white and blue of the oceans.
