Spirit of Scotland Weathered Heavyweight Tartan Fabric Sample is a grey and lilac based tartan with olive, white and black overchecks.
Our Selkirk Tweed is made from 100% pure new wool and, 50% of the wool is of Scottish origin. As we continue our environmental journey one of our aims is to increase our use of British sourced yarns for our fabrics and accessories. The Selkirk Tweed stock range comprises of nine classic tartans interpreted to reflect our natural environment and have been woven with a kilting selvedge. This quality is based on our premium Strome and is a beautiful addition to our stocked tartans.
The modern variant of the tartan was originally designed by Michael King of Philip King Tailoring Ltd, Aberdeen, this design was adopted by the National Trust of Scotland for Fyvie Castle. This tartan is a great choice for members of a wedding party wishing to support the groom without wearing a clan tartan.
