MacRae Of Conchrra Modern Lightweight Tartan is a white and blue-based fabric with a yellow check.Woven using 100% Pure New Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
During the Jacobite Rising of 1715, John MacRae of Conchra and Lochalsh left Kintail with his followers to join the rebel army. Some of his men had worn out their hose and were given a web of tartan cloth by people living where they rested during their march. With this the men made themselves new hose.
