MacLachlan Old Modern Lightweight Tartan is a colorful green-based tartan with bright red and yellow overchecks. Woven using 100% Pure New Acrylic Wool this tartan is available for made to measure products, accessories, soft furnishings and craft projects. Made here in our mill in Selkirk, Scotland.
This ancient clan possessed Strat Lachlan, Argyllshire, in the 11th century. Gillespie MacLachlan was a member of King Robert the Bruce’s first parliament in St Andrews in 1308. During the 1745 Jacobite Rising, the chief led his clan to join Prince Charlie’s army.
