Description
Medium Gunn Weathered Weight Tartan is a gentle brown-based tartan with shades of grey.
Caithness and Sutherland was the home of the Gunns, for whom a Norse origin is claimed. They were frequently engaged in clan warfare and did battle with the Keiths, MacKays and Sutherlands. This was said to be the result of the Keiths kidnapping the daughter of Gunn of Breamor in the fifteenth century who took her own life rather than submit.
